Helperly LLC (“we”, “us”) operates need.work. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have. It is written to align with the EU/UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA (CCPA), and Canada's PIPEDA.
Information we collect
How we use it
To provide the service (discover and score jobs against your profile, track applications, generate drafts), to secure and improve it, and to communicate with you about your account or support requests. We process this data to perform our contract with you and on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating the service.
Sharing & service providers
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We use vetted sub-processors strictly to run the service: Supabase (authentication & database), Railway and Vercel (hosting), Cloudflare (DNS/CDN), Anthropic (AI processing), PostHog (product analytics), and Brevo (transactional email). We may disclose information if required by law.
Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your résumé sources and profile data in the app, and you can request full deletion of your account at any time (see your rights below).
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export (portability), restrict or object to processing, and to withdraw consent. California residents have the right to know, delete, and correct, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights; because we do not sell or share personal information, there is nothing to opt out of. To exercise any right, email support@helperly.org. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
Cookies & analytics
We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication and privacy-respecting product analytics to understand usage. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
International transfers & children
Your data may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate, with appropriate safeguards for international transfers. The service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
